David Topol
Marina General Manager / Construction & Development Project Manager
David is the General Manager of the Lake Tahoe based JMA asset the Homewood High & Dry Marina. He works closely with JMA management and the marina operations teams to ensure a safe, hospitable, and accountable marina business. Additionally, David works closely with the Construction & Development team specifically as it relates to all on property improvements and vertical development phases of the JMA Homewood Development project.
David has over 20 years of experience working at the marina with 10 of those years leading the crew and business. During those years in addition to operations he has also navigated significant cap ex projects including deferred maintenance, dredging, dry rack upgrades, equipment purchases, and the installation of North America’s first level 3 on water electric boat charging station all while working with local, state, and government agencies on permitting, leasing, and approvals. During a break from the marine industry, David spent 6 years working for San Francisco based architecture firm, SB Architects, and 3 years working for Lake Tahoe based, Olson-Olson Architects, and earned accreditation as a LEED AP.
Education: BA in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder School of Business.
Fun Fact: David’s Mother and Father purchased the marina in 1977 and developed the 9 lakefront parcels between Fawn and Silver Street on Lake Tahoe’s famed West Shore including the West Shore Café & Inn. David lives in South Lake Tahoe and is an avid snow skier, water sports enthusiast, and dedicated husband to wife Heather and father to son Nathan and daughter Tevia.
