Paul Faries


Paul is a Partner at JMA with a focus on investment strategies, financial oversight, sourcing capital, acquisitions, and asset management of JMA’s commercial and mixed-use projects.

Paul has more than 22 years of experience in private equity and commercial real estate and joined JMA in 2007. While at JMA he has played a leading role in acquisitions and development of more than $1.2 billion in projects spanning commercial, mixed-use, and resort properties. Prior to joining JMA, Paul advanced to the role of Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at the Fremont Group, an investment firm with approximately $10 billion of assets under management at the time.

Paul has served for more than ten years as a board member of Downtown Sacramento Partnership board and also serves on the board of its charitable arm, the Downtown Sacramento Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering civic pride through the improvement of the social and physical environment of Downtown Sacramento.

Education: MBA in finance from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA. BS in business administration from Pepperdine University.

Fun fact: Paul has resided in 16 MSA’s across 11 US states as well as in Puerto Rico, Canada and Italy.
