Sacramento, Calif. – Today, the Sacramento Kings and JMA Ventures, LLC. announced a new restaurant will join Downtown Commons (DOCO) this year. Echo & Rig Butcher / Steakhouse, founded by acclaimed restaurateur and chef Sam Marvin, will bring its award-winning menu to Sacramento, adding more dining options to Sacramento’s emerging entertainment district.
Chef Sam Marvin, creator and founder of such renowned restaurants as Bottega Louie in Los Angeles, has garnered praise and accolades for his innovative take on the traditional steakhouse. Echo & Rig’s unique ambiance and European influenced design is something never before seen in a steakhouse environment. Echo & Rig will be open to the public, as well as will serve the Sawyer Hotel.
“Echo and Rig brings a distinct steakhouse experience that stands out from the rest,” said Kings President Chris Granger. “We’re thrilled to have Chef Marvin’s second location in Sacramento and look forward to seeing it compliment the excitement in DOCO.”
The first Echo & Rig location launched in 2013 in Las Vegas and its continued success has been noted over the years. In 2015, it was awarded the title of Las Vegas Restaurant of the Year. The Sacramento version will be the restaurant’s second location and will be uniquely designed for the community, including a private glass-enclosed dining space for special events and a custom designed video wall for sports enthusiasts and guests visiting from the Golden 1 Center to enjoy. Chef Sam Marvin will once again bring his culinary brilliance and the multi-sensory dining experience that has been praised and enjoyed by those in Las Vegas to Downtown Sacramento. Echo & Rig is sure to become a local staple.
“Sacramento is the perfect city for the next Echo & Rig,” said Chef Sam Marvin. “The city is full of people who are passionate about their cuisine choices, incredible access to fresh and high-quality ingredients, and an energy and excitement about the region that you can feel. I’m honored to become a part of the city.”
“We’re excited to welcome Chef Marvin and his modern vision of a steakhouse,” said JMA Ventures President Todd Chapman. “Echo and Rig is a tremendous addition to the growing lineup to appear soon at DOCO.”
The restaurant will be located on the East corner of the first floor of the mixed-use tower filling over 8,000 square feet including a spacious outdoor patio. Echo & Rig looks to debut in Sacramento, early Fall 2017.
